Teotihuacan II

early morning climb—
a puma's roar announces
the first toy vendor

Notes:
Among the many vendors who begin to slowly arrive at the Teotihuacan complex in the morning are those who sell wooden toys that when blown through produce a remarkably accurate sound of a puma's roar. I believe it takes a certain amount of skill and practice to pull this off, but all the vendors are quite good at it. I nearly pissed myself the first time I heard it. The sound is really amplified in the complex and the echoes are eerie.
