Notes: Hue, Vietnam, along the banks of the Perfume River, my phone said the temperature was 110F with a "feels like" of 128; it was without exaggeration the hottest day I'd ever experienced in my life. I was actually having trouble just catching my breath. Meanwhile, as we approached a river boat with our guide—the boat to ferry us back toward the center of town— remarkably, I saw the boat's driver sound asleep in long sleeves and pants with not even a single bead of sweat on her face.
