Found all over Bhutan, the Tsa-tsa is a miniature stupa. Each one is a votive devoted to the well-being of a beloved human – living or departed. A tiny scroll of prayers is inserted though a hole in the bottom of the hollow Tsa-Tsa. Then the Tsa-tsa is lovingly and precisely placed by the sponsor while reciting prayers intended to help the beloved recipient.
